ODACA is a community of talented artists who specialize in creating unique art dolls. These one-of-a-kind dolls are entirely the result of the artists' creativity and are not derived from commercial molds or patterns. ODACA is committed to educating doll collectors about original art dolls and the artists behind them, while also offering a supportive, friendly community to its member artists.
The ODACA Standards Committee places great emphasis on artistic expression, originality, presentation, professionalism, and the adept use of one's chosen medium. The Committee also encourages artists to establish a distinct "look" or "feel" across their work, creating a recognizable artistic signature. ODACA aims to inspire doll artists to continuously strive for and uphold the highest standards in their art.
To become an Artist Member of ODACA, applicants undergo a three-step evaluation by ODACA's Standards Committee:
- Initial Screening
- Portfolio Submission
- In-person Evaluation at ODACA's Annual Meeting in July
