Many times sewn wefting is too heavy for smaller polymer or resin dolls. In those cases, I use a "glued" wefting so the hair can be made as thin as needed for the doll I'm working on.

To try this you'll need:

• mohair, any length
• tacky glue
• scissors
• saran wrap
• toothpicks

Put a length of saran wrap on your work table that will accommodate the amount of hair you'll need for your doll. (I use about 24" of saran wrap for a 16-18 inch doll.)

Take a small hank of mohair and cut across one end to give an even top edge on the hank. Place a ribbon of tacky glue about 1 1/2 inches long on the saran wrap, and place the top cut edge of the mohair on the glue. Use a toothpick to tease out the mohair evenly across the glue, making sure that all the hair along the top edge is coated with glue. At this point, the glue wefting will cover about 1/4 - 3/8 inch of the cut edge. Don't be concerned that the top of the wefting is not as straight as the cut you originally made. Repeat these steps for more wefted lengths until you have enough for your doll.

After the glue is dry, it will form a transparent wefted edge. These edges can be trimmed down so the glue wefting is only 1/16 - 1/8 inch wide. The wefted lengths can then be applied directly to the doll's head with either tacky glue or Fabri-Tac glue.
