Sewing Tip on Turning Tiny Doll Parts
by Susan Fosnot
Instead of turning tubes, I use a plastic drinking straw. I slit the end down about one inch. That way the straw can squeeze in at the end of a tiny arm, and stretch out if the material is a little bulky. Also, a new one is easy to get if the old one is lost or damaged. I also use other types of readily available tubes for other size doll parts. A tube from paper towels or a tampon tube work fine, and can be easily replaced when they get worn.
