I live in Pennsylvania with my husband Forrest, two dogs and two cats. I have
a degree in graphic design and for 18 years worked in that field. After moving
to Pennsylvania four years ago from Texas, I decided to focus my efforts on
my dolls and Santas and I currently spend the majority of my days working in
my studio either sculpting or sewing. |

I have been creating dolls since 1996, after taking a workshop that exposed
me to polymer clay. That experience changed my life. I realized total creativity
when working with the clay. I have been creating things for as long as I can
remember. I have worked in a variety of mediums including toile painting, silk
screening fabric, jewelry making, lampworking beads and most everything in
between. I have designed, created and sold my finished pieces to the public
for more than 20 years. I prefer the polymer clay medium and find it best suited
for bringing my ideas to life. The main theme of my sculpted pieces is Christmas.
Creating three dimensional life-like sculptures brings me great joy and provides
a way for me to share my memories.
My husband is a tremendous support in my dollmaking career. Always available
to help at shows and more often than not has a 'to do' list on the weekends
making armatures, creating bases or anything else I can come up with for him
to do.
Currently I am a member of the Academy of American Doll Artists, a State
juried Member of the Pennsylvania Guild of Craftsman, and I'm active in a local
polymer clay doll group. I became an ODACA Artist member in 2004. I have been
fortunate to have my dolls featured in national magazines and they have been
exhibited at shows, galleries, and doll shops throughout the US. In February
2003 I made my debut in the wholesale market at the International Toy Fair
held in New York City. I currently wholesale the majority of my Santa's to
various shops throughout the country.
