I live in Natchez, Mississippi with my husband and Scottish Terrier. I began my journey in the doll world making cloth dolls and even starting a pattern line. When I discovered polymer clay a whole new world opened up. I use a range of clays from different polymer clays which require firing, to some of the air dry clays.

I am constantly searching antique shops for vintage fabric and trims for the costumes in order to create that unique look. Each figure starts with a sculpted head, then the sculpted hands and finally the shoes or feet. Most of the figures have a wire and wood armature and can be removed from their bases. My favorite bases are handmade mosaic bases. I have also started sculpting full body sculpts which are usually small figures consisting of faeries, mermaids and gnomes.

I offer a line of One of a Kind Santas called “The Santa Collection”. I also have a line called “Holiday Collectibles” which consist of Folk Art pieces. Most of these pieces are sculpted from the air dry clays and painted with acrylics and then antiqued to give them that wonderful aged patina.

Although I am basically self-taught, I have studied with Jack Johnston and Barbara VanNoy. My work has been published in numerous publications. I am a member of The Craftsmen’s Guild of Mississippi, Inc., The Academy of American Doll Artists, The Professional Doll Makers Art Guild, Original Doll Artist Council of America, ODACA 2006.
